THE LEGEND
Rooted in the classic sounds of the American South and refined in the honky-tonks of San Diego, Martin "Lefty" Martin is an artist defined by heritage. His story doesn't start on a stage, but in a living room filled with the echoes of B.B. King and his mother’s Patsy Cline-inspired vocals. Those early years planted a seed for a sound that is weathered, honest, and undeniably "Texas-textured." We define "Texas Texture" as a sound built on grit and gravel, blending the raw storytelling of vintage outlaw country with a weathered, honky-tonk edge.

After years of fronting local ensembles, the dust settled in 2022 when Lefty assembled The Right Hand Band, a powerhouse of seasoned veterans dedicated to a gritty, vintage outlaw sound. Established as a premier San Diego country act, the band has held long-standing residencies at top venues like Renegade Country and performed extensively across the VFW, Moose Lodge, and Elks circuits, earning their reputation as one of the hardest-working units in the region.

Together, they bridge the gap between the golden era of country and the modern outlaw movement, trading in polished covers for raw, original storytelling. As they launch their 2026 release series, beginning with "The Great Escape (Down In Mexico)"; Lefty Martin & His Right Hand Band aren't just playing the hits. They’re writing the next chapter of West Coast outlaw music, one gritty chord at a time.
